Tips to quieten an ehaust?

After putting peel and seal in my car and getting the panels back on, I was very happy with the results. Now, I would just like to make the exhaust just a little bit quieter if it is possible, because it is a little loud.

It is some after market fart can, and I do not want to throw money into new parts. I have already put a silencer on it, and it has made it quieter, and it raised my gas mileage and torque, and trying to think of other ideas.

I had a friend that said he had an old car that he drove around for a few years that he didn't even have insurance on that had a big exhaust, and he said he put some steel wool in the muffler, and then put a stainless steel water drain in the exhaust to stop it from coming out and that it worked well. I've heard of people doing that just to pass inspection and then pull it back out, but didn't want to try it until I heard more about it.

So any ideas guys?

You can add a longer resonator to your exhaust.

buy a turbo muffler from a auto parts store, it will be less then $50 bucks. then cut off your turbo muffler then weld into place. it will look more like stock and be much quiter, however having a deep tone.

I have a turbo muffler on my b16 powered EK Hatch, I love it. Whats more I love not get exhaust fix it tickets.
