rust on block?

how hard would it be to clean a ls block if it has some rust on it? is it worth it?

Chances are its just some surface rust, shouldnt be a big deal. Are you able to post some pics??

could always take it to a machine shop and get them to pressure test it clean it up and balance the crank etc...

if the seller is talking about rust in the cylinder walls then a hone will clean it up. if the rust is too bad for a hone, then bore .020 and then hone :thumb:
