broken bolt on distributor

OK so I was just doing a little tune up on my hatch and broke one of the distributor cap bolts. wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what the best fix is for it? Drill and re tap? New dizzy?

Honestly, if it's just one of the three bolts on the cap that broke, don't even sweat it man. Nothing is gonna get in there. Just make sure the others are decently tight. Just not too tight, don't want to break those other bolts.

These bolts can easily snap/break, i have broken 3 in the past, you can get away with only 2 bolts holding it but to get it out in some cases you could use a pair of pliers an unscrew it or use a drill piece an use a star headed screw and unscrew the bolt.
There is alot of different techniques to remove them

if you take off the cap is part of the bolt sticking out if so try to take it out with some good vise grips

this happen to me i just used a zip tie where the broken screw was to hold it in place hasnt given me any problems ever since :cheers:
