yes, but you need to modify the seat brackets

xjm92x wrote:What is the cheapest vtec B Swap that i can get?

depends on where and how you look - no such thing as a set standard price.

If you're looking for a wallet-friendly, easy, and easy to find B swap, I'd recommend a B18 out of a DC Integra.

but he is saying vtec. and Hmotorsonline.com would have your best option if reliability to price, and you can get everything you need for the swap through them

heres the link for motor trans and ecu: http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000sea ... item=30004

*EDIT* heres the link for the complete change over: http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000sea ... item=30005

Oh snap. I guess I missed that. Haha

They have a good deal on the JDM B16A SiR-II. Full swap for $2500

the link i posted above is the link for the b16 SIR-II page for a complete swap

*EDIT* correction, the first one i posted was just for the motor, trans and ecu, but i added the complete change over as well

you are correct - my bad :thumb:
but then again b18b1 has a lot of potential and its boost friendly as seen in JUICE's vehicle :thumb:

best cost efficient swap would be a b18b1 with a vtec head you can piece one together alot cheaper

But an LS/VTEC can be the least reliable, as well.

IMO if i was gonna buy a reliable b16 vtec( if i could ever save the money) would be the complete change over SIR-II swap off of Hmotorsonline.

best bang for your buch IMO since most all motors are JDM imports with low miles. you dont have to worry about buying something off of craigslist that might or might not run.

B16s are not such great engines imo. there are numerous videos where d16z6 hatches with bolt ons walk all over the b16 swapped cars.

tranny, mounts, wiring with ecu, axles, hoses, and p/s pump and a/c compressor if you want to keep those

ls/v swaps aren't awful, IF THEY ARE BUILT RIGHT. my buddy has had numerous setups in numerous cars and they have all held up great.

it also just depends on what your definition of "good price" is. you can buy some decent swaps online, "used". you can usually pick up a decent long/short block for a good price and just replace some gaskets and seals and be golden and save yourself a thousand bucks or more.

it's all about how much time and money you wanna put into your car..

Ever built one?

I dont suggest a ls block w/a b16 head slapped on it. You wont enjoy it (expeically since you're wanting a b vtec engine to start with). As long as treat the engine as an "ls" and respect its low revving nature, it will be fine!

As far as cheapest, there's a member on here who just bought a full GSR swap for $1,000...

Just use the craiglist/internet to find what you're lookin' for.
