CAR IDLES AROUND 3K
Posted: Wed Feb 18, 2009 3:48 pmok its a single cam yeah. but when i turn on the car it idles right off the bat at like around 3 grand. no tach yet but sounds like it. and it never idles back down? any ideas? maybe vacuum hose?

Posted: Wed Feb 18, 2009 4:43 pmmaybe your throttle cable is too tight or maybe you have a vac leak or maybe you should clean the FITV (in that order).

I would go with that, and if your idle is a little rough, I would check leads and distributor.
