im having a problem with my hood not locking it catches the latch but wont completely lock, I have tried adjusting the hinge and it still wont shut, I have an upper strut brace but it does not seem to get in the way anybody got an idea, car is a 95 sedan, motor is a 97 d16y7 somebody help a brother out lol

Maybe the mechanism is getting stuck. I have had the hood release cable not fully retract, causing the latch to not be far enough to engage. I put a little lube on the cable and the moving points of the latch mechanism itself, and it was all good after a few tries and everything was moving freely again.

you were right teal, the mechanism is sticking and it was too low I sprayed it with some engine degrease3r and pb blaster .
