JDM takes H4H bulb
USDM takes H4 Bulb

JDM lenses are Plastic
USDM are glass

JDM has no DOT nipples
USDM does on the glass.

JDM has city lights
USDM does not.







in a JDM headlight, the turn signals DO NOT turn on when parking lights go on. Instead, the city lights go on. These are 194 bulbs that luminate the inner headlights just enough so others can see you.

on a small note, there also exist the EDM headlights which have no DOT nipples and is glass and runs city lights and also H4. I would personally get these over the plastic since plastic fades.

- Sun Dec 16, 2007 4:39 am #33924 Any idea of a reputable place to get the EDM headlights? Or are they quite rare in the states? Do they have amber corners? Sorry for all the questions, but google isn't turning up anything for me. Sounds like what I'll end up getting though.

as far as places that have it.


www.n1concepts.com have loads of jdm ones. email them if you dont see it on the site cause they have ALOT of stuff. They are local to me



amber corners are not OEM.


OEM ones are clear corners with an orange insert inside.

Well I suppose I'll be on the lookout then for an EDM set, and hope to pick some up. But no matter which I get I'll be picking up some amber corners, as I just hate clear corners.

- Sun Dec 16, 2007 8:56 am #33936 Haha, nothin against the clear corner lovers, I just don't like the way they look for some reason. Maybe on like a 3 series BMW, but for some reason, I just don't like the look of them on a Civic at all.

yah I guess its much better to get the glass ones so it wont fade quickly. Can I buy a JDM ones then just swapped the glass of my OEM to the JDM ones anyone done that?
