Civic EG

I am sure some one has already asked this question, but I want to make sure I have this straight. I have a pretty beat up EG8 and I am looking to pick up a hood of any kind to replace the massively beat up one that I have. I have found an oem hood locally for 75 dollars that I am seriously considering picking up however it is for a coupe. I told the guy that I was pretty sure that a coupe hood wouldn't fit on my sedan. Also just so this thread is out there for anyone that has a question about EG hoods. It would be awesome to completely clear up any other questions about the other EG models for example does the a hatch hood fit on a coupe. It would be nice to have a final word on these questions. Thanks everyone oh and don't forget the del sol as well.

Coupe and hatch share the same hood. Sedan hoods are a couple inches longer and do not fit coupe and hatch properly. Del Sol hoods only fit Del Sols.

Awesome!! Thanks for clearing up that issue. I appreaciate it greatly. I am sure others will appreaciate it this issue being cleared up as well Now I still have to find a decently priced sedan hood lol

the coupe hood will fit the sedan but its like 1/4 inch shorter then the sedan, so if you were ok wit the body lines not matchin up properly i say just get the coupe hood, but if not get a sedan.. and its a good reason/excuse to get a C/F hood

Nah I fitted a sedan hood to my hatch its like a 1/4 inch and the body lines on the very front of the hood dont line up with the bumper lines. So it will be the same for a coupe hood on a sedan.
