So going from 175/75-13 to 185/65-14 or 195/55-15, how much would it affect acceleration? The stock steelies mustn't weigh much, so I think it would be hard to find lighter wheels in any size, unless they were tiny 13"s as well. I ask because the wider tires should benefit the Civic.

Putting a taller Tire on your car will effect your accerlation. Its physics, However on my Dx Sedan I have not noticed a huge impact on Performance going from the Stock 13's to my 15" LS Web's.

However the handling and Ride Comfort is much better after getting the bigger Rims.

So 195/55-15 or 195/50-15

get some 15z an you wont be sad you will be very :D

most aftermarket wheels are pretty light, plus the extra handling an ride comfort is worth the extra lbs

post some pics when you get some

I agree, plus 2 sizing

A light weight set of 15" will cost more, but unless you're racing the car then don't worry about the extra weight. The handling of the car will be a huge improvement.
