bought a set of cheap 10 spoke rims in silver, bad condition with scuffs and corrosion, so i decided to paint them. what do you think? are they worthy of new tyres? im in 2 minds let me know

they started of like that

to that

that is a pic after i painted the red lip

there is the finished product, they kinda loo funny with the red lip and no tyre, also the black rim in the pic is a uk crx alloy , i bought a set of 5 the other day , there are in really bad condition and they were also in silver, so in between coats of paint with the multi spoke wheels, i rubbed down the crx wheel then polished the lip. and finally sprayed the centres black, i think it looks good but the complete set wont be finished for a long time yet as they are in bad condish. let me know what you all think , :thumb: or

looked at the large pic and it looks like you have red overspray all over the black or is that not the case?

Hey, a good cheap deal is NEVER a bad deal.

Now you've got yourself a decent pair of rims to roll on and it didn't cost you $2K.

I bought 4 prelude rims with rubber for $100 from a guy and plan on doing the same thing :thumb:

yea the rims were £40 and 4 new tyres should be around £200. no man this isnt red overspray thats the glow (reflection) comming of the little heater just out of the pic, you can see the white thing on the right hand side of the pic, thats a little heater and its shing onto the black. :thumb:

They look okay but I am a sucker for silver or polished wheels. I would have just redone em in silver.
