bought a stunning jdm d15b VTEC and the car had been previously lowered, as the subject suggests i am eating tyres, i am in the process of changing both lower front arms and the CV joints inc boots, also a new steering rack due to excessive play, just wondering what i could do to sort the tyre situation, any help would be much appreciated.

It could be from excessive toe-out because it was never aligned after lowering.

alignment is all 4 wheels. when you lower these cars, the toe goes out which chews up the insides of tires quick. It's just how the geometry of the suspension works on civics. I bet it was never re-aligned after being lowered.

thanks teal great help.... do you need to purchase a camber kit for this to be done? just something i have heard, and how much you think an alignment will be.

Price for alignments vary from place to place.

NO you do NOT need camber adjustment kits.

Read the sticky thread at the top of the Suspension section about camber kits :thumb:
