Alternative way to route aftermarket deck wires

im looking for an alternative way to route my power and constant wire for my aftermarket pioneer deck, the stock harness was cut in my 93 si civic by the previous owner.. now im having an issue with wiring the deck.. my 12v outlit is on but when i wire yellow to yellow and red to red, nothing.. HELP! please

Step1: Punch previous owner in the face for cutting the wiring harness.

When in doubt check the fuses and your ground. :thumb:

It does sound like you popped a fuse.

Step 2: punch yourself in the face for assuming that aftermarket wire colors correspond to factory wire colors.

Constant is white/blue and accessory is yellow/red but I suggest taking it to best buy and paying the 30 bucks.

haha, i know how to wire the harness wires to the proper wires :P its just the red and yellow arnt doing anything, so i hooked them to the orange wire "dimmer" to get some power while i try and figure out why it wont work, normaly your 12v outlet is on the same fuse as the red and yellow wire and my 12v works, but it wont do anything when i conect them.. the deck works fine hooked to the dimmer.. but i dont know why it wont work :S
