Where do i start?

So it's time for me to get my security system and i honestly don't know what to start with. I don't get paid that much so i wanna start with the cheapest thing i can get. Any help guys, would really appreciate it. And btw, i read and i know about killswitches and what not but i just don't know where to start.

Just check out the local sites to find a good alarm... to be honest if u buy the brand new its gonna be nor than 300.00 for it...
Just check craigslist or even ebay...

save up & buy good stuff. but let me guess youre one of those guys that would buy a cheap ebay turbo kit that wouldnt last 6 months but you bought it cuz it was cheap. right?
