Alright so my speedometer isn't working. For the past couple months it would jump around but still kind of work, now it doesn't work at all. It also throws a check engine light when under de-acceleration, i haven't checked the code buy I'm almost positive it's gonna be the VSS code.
This is a newer trans, the trans before i also had to replace the VSS but it would stil jump once in awhile, and after i replaced the trans it does the said above, which makes me thinks its my cluster since it still does it even after a trans swap.
Do you guy's think i need to replace my VSS or is it the cluster?
Any help is greatly appreciated, and YES i have searched, and search, and searched..

Do you remember which fuse? Under-dash or under-hood fuse box?
I'll look it up too.

It's your cluster.... I had the same issue, and it was the cluster itself, fairly common from what I hear... but then again i didn't get the CEL, but that could be related to something completely different

It started working today but then just died again. It still throws a check engine under de-acceleration and that is a guaranteed VSS code but they don't usually stay faulty, they either go bad or not.
I'm thinking it is my cluster, gonna have to pay out the ass for one -[

my cluster also went bad and would bounce around or just not work at all, once i replaced the cluster it worked fine. but i was never throwing a cel

Damn, idk what to do then. I don't want to replace my cluster if it's fine, and vise versa with the VSS. I guess i'll have to check the CEL, i know it's gonna read VSS though..
