ok my friend gave me his CX gauge cluster. wen it was in his car a little shift light comes on wen its time to shift(yes its stock). but wen i use it in my DX the shift lights stays on all the time. i wanna know if theres anything i can do to make it like his.

It did that in his car because his ECU was tuned to do that. Its a Tuning Feature that you can have done to yours quite easily by having your ecu chipped and have the base map for your engine uploaded to it and set what feature you want on it.

Yeah you'd need a CX or VX engine and ECU.

What do you mean tap into the D18 wire? For the shift light to work, you'd need to have a CX or VX ECU and the corresponding engine and transmission.

First of all, your car doesn't have cruise control, right? If you do, then your cruise master switch will control the shift light.

If the light is always on and you want it to go out, pull the cluster back out and cut the red/blue wire.

i have the same shift light in my cx but it comes on at like 3 grand lol

also it doesnt have to be stock motor just ecu because mine still works when i put the p05 on it
