DX ECU

Bit of conflicting info floating around about this hopefully someone here knows something...

For me B16 swap next year, I know I'm going to need the ECU and engine loom, but some people are trying to tell me I'll need to rewire the whole car? Now I assumed that the in-car would've remained OBD1 and then the ECU been butchered to accept the engine on the same diagnostic by Honda to keep the in-car electronics the same across the model range (or as much as possible).

I've already plugged in an LSi cluster with a tachometer and stuff and that works no problem, anyone have a definite idea of whether I need to do the whole car or just the engine?

just the engine :thumb: (although I'm not sure about your thread title, you won't need anything to do with a dx ecu with a B16)

Well the question pertained to the current ecu - sort of :P I was more concerned about the in-car wiring with the current ecu but anyway.

That clears that up cheers :D
