Will a VTEC Dash harness work with a non VTEC?

Pretty self explanatory question. I'm swapping out my dash harness in my 95 civic coupe ex. I have an auto tranny and a non-vtec d15b7 engine.
I found this harness on ebay...

I wanna buy it but I'm not sure if there will be any conflicts with the ECU since mine is non-vtec. Should I go for it?

It should work the only difference would be is you would have the vtec stuff pre-wired into your car id get it
on a side note Johnson City, Tennessee is definately alil closer than me at Johnson City NY
but yea id definately get that since that would end up being the only difference is vtec and as long as the ecu you have is a non-vtec it shouldnt throw a code for vtec

wow, of all people to respond. Fancy that.
Anyway, If you say it should work, I think I'll go for it.
And since this is YOU I'm talking to, I still need that little engine part we talked about before. If you send me a pic of the little guy, we can talk about how much your willing to part from it for.

you can always wire it up for Vtec....
thing is if you are swapping dash harness
since you mentioned you are putting it in an AUTO car is the harness from an AUTO car itself? if not it probably not work since the theres a plug for the AUTO shifter to be plugged in while the MANUAL CARS dont have it.

yes the harness is for an auto. The only difference is that I don't have vtec, and I was just unsure if that would matter or not.

If your going for a manual transmission it wouldn't work if it came out of an auto.

it will work it just that there will be an extra plug on the harness for the Auto shifter.

Why would it be extra? Wouldn't it plug into my autoshifter since I have an auto? Like I said, the only difference is that the harness description says its for a VTEC. And I don't have a VTEC. But my car and the hanress are both the same year and auto.

sorry dude read too fast and jumped to making a reply.
It will work fine...HOWEVER I doubt you'll have any issues, because the ECU itself wont be trying to find the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch. so all should be good

i was just saying because he though you were putting it in a manual car. on a manual car that plug would be just sitting there but since your putting in a auto car then that plug would be in use

Ah I see. Yeah, I WISH I had a manual tranny. But I'm stuck with auto for now.

having an auto dash harness and converting to manual is no problem (if you ever decide to do so)
Having a manual dash harness and trying to use it in an auto car would be a nightmare.
So you're good

sweet. Thanks. This (i hope) is the last step before I can be DRIVING a tucked bay instead of it just chilling in my garage.
