I left for work this morning and i when i shifted in second, everything died, no stereo no dome light nothin but the 4way flashers. the batterry is full and i just changed my alternator last friday. can someone point me out to where the prob could be?

try making sure you pluged up everything for the altinator right

already did, everything looks A1 and still i turn my key and nothing at all turns on. as if i unplugged the batt but when i turn the 4ways it goes on, and if i try to turn on the radio or try to start the motor, nothing goes on at all. its puzzling me like a bitch...

how do your fuses check out, under dash and underhood?

the fuses are all good, wich is even more weird

Do you get ignition lights when you put the key in???

I bet it is a short somewhere.
1. you were recently messing with your electric system.
2. everything died when you shifted into second. that jerks the engine/car a little when you let out the clutch, which may have caused 2 wires to touch.

both the 4 wire plug and the single thick white positive wire are still connected on the alternator?

So the only thing that works is the 4 ways? Even the 4 ways will work with very little juice, much less than is needed to start the car.

How are you checking the battery?
