#60759 Ok, just went out to pick my missues up from work, got home. I just went to start my car to move it and it went to start and died.

It wont start at all. The ignition wont even work or anything. Nothing lights up on the dash.

What the fuck could be the problem? My car just died!
My battery is fine and charged as I just went out in it and my interiour light is on.
I've been through every fuse under dash and bonnet and non are dead.

WTF?

Help?

#60764 Can you check your charging amperage on the battery? When my battery went it still put out some power but the charging amps were so low that it couldn't crank the car.

:?

Just trying to rule things out.

#60767 Thanks Baxter. My old man just came around and looked over it with me, he looked in the battery and said it was dryed up.

When sat in the car, the interiour light is on, if you put the hazard switch on, a buzzing noise comes from under the dash and the repeaters don't light up on the outside. Also the interiour light goes really dim, if you put the headlights on aswell the interiour light goes out, also no headlights outside.

So I'm buying a new battery tomorrow, I'm really hoping it is this, as I hate dealing with electrical problems.

I've been over every earth under the bonnet aswell, all seem to be fine.

But what really puzzles me is how the car works and is running, then I shut it off, go to start it again and bam, it's dead. Fucking POS.

#60861 Happened with me the EXACT same way man. Drove it everyday for a month, went to Harvey's one day and bought a shitload of food. Go back to the car, crank it, NOTHING. Sat there and ate my shitload of food while CAA came lol.

#60989 The battery is there really just to store enough energy to get the car started (and to filter out "noise" from the alternator). Once you're up and running, the alternator is powering all your electronics and your ignition while charging the battery. I guess your battery had one last startup left. But it's the alternator that got you home.
