My lowbeams go out from time to time and come back on usually within seconds. They also go out when I flash from high to low quickly back and forth and sometimes stay off until I flash highs again.

relays control your headlights. They are the giant black boxes in your fuse box. Have someone listen to them when you turn the headlight on and off. They click. If they click when they arent supposed to. DING!
