Hello, this is my first post!

I live in the uk and own a JDM hatch eg sir2, however i want to fit OEM UKDM rear foglight and OEM switch to my car for MOT purposes, i know you guys in America don't tend to have rear foglights but thought its worth a shot anyway.

Basically i need to know if the wiring for the rear fog switch is already in the car behind the dash or will i have to run wires throughout car to rear tailgate.

Also has anyone done this conversion before?

I am totally useless with anything electrical so any help would be greatly received!!

no fog lights on JDM cars mate so no need for the wiring.

you will have to wire it your self.

plus you will have to mod your rear lights.

most import centres will use one of the reverse lights as a fog light by putting a red bulb in there with a switch hooked up to it.

or you could swap your jdm rear lights for ukdm rear lights... i'll swap mine with you if you want.

Yeah i did think about it but i just don't like the look of them, want it to look OEM still

I would personally prefer a fog light kit, makes the car look more like an import too.

fog light kits look shite!

the ones that hang below the bumper just ruin the rear end and makes the car look un-tidy!

the ones that sit in the bumper are better but then you have to cut into the bumper to fit it and even they make the rear end look shite!

You can also buy some OEM EDM stanley rear lights from me

all you have to do is run some cable from the battery, to switch (can use OEM switch to keep it looking clean) then to fog light (use one of the reverse lights, just put a red buld in there) then run the cable back to the battery.

obviously put some fuse's in there, etc


did you import the car yourself? because if you got it from an import company they would have already done this for you.
