K, so I picked me up a coin pocket that goes in the same place as my dash light dimmer switch.



Well this is my problem.... Unplugging the dimmer switch kills my dash light completely. I dont know shiz about electrical so i assumed it would stay on and I just wouldn't be able to dim or brighten my dash light . So what should I do to be able to keep the coin pocket installed and still have light?? Just relocate the switch? Any help is appreciated!

Wire the two wires from the switch together?

move the dimmer to the other side of the steering wheel

the dimmer switch is bigger than the opening on the other side... here check it out I took this pic off another site cuz I dont have a picture of mine...

Itll be cos the live wire is now broken constantly without the switch there so just do as slipcivic suggested and bypass the switch

So I do this???? (ms paint FTW)

The only thing im worried about is if I cut it and then it doesn't work then im just S.O.L.

So I went out to my car on my break, and came upon this.....

How many wires are there? There will be a live and earth, are there any others?

what about leaving the switch in tact plugged in, but just stuffed inside behind your dash somewhere. You wouldn't be able to adjust the dimmer, but how often do you do that...

I am alson debating wether or not to get the coin pocket due to me not wanting to mess up my dash. but now that you mentioned that i think im gonna go for it..

That's what you're supposed to do. I just pushed it in right under the pocket.

The JDM cluster,clock etc.. dont operate off the Dimmer switch. Are you still running the USDM stuff or the blue tint lights in everything?

If you so, just relocate it on the lower dash panel. You just need to cut a slot out for it.
