#39965 i want to do an hid conversion in my civic, but i have a few questions that i cannot find answers too, i am first of all thinking of going with the 8000k ones, they are apparently the brightest of them and give off a blueish white, but the thing i want to know is whats the difference between single xenon, and hi/lo xenon, and bi-xenon? what is better of the three?

#40034 who ever said 8000k is th ebrightest is lying, 4100k-4300k is the brightest. 8000k is very blue and will be damn near impossible to see anything at night in the rain.

Low beam is just low beam, Hi/Low is low beam HID high beam Halogen(sucks), and Bi-Xenon is both high and low beam HID. any further questions just ask

#40201 so what would be the best, i want a blueish look but something that will be good to see in any weather? what would be best and is the bi-xenon the best of the other two?

#40206 if you want a bluish hue to them then 6000k would be my recommendation, they are white with a hint of blue. but still have a good lumen factor. you should be able to see decently well with them in the rain, but not as well as a 4300k. but you have to sacrifice some to gain in others. and yes Bixenon is the best cause you have both high and low beams

#40221 as you go higher in the scale, the less lumens (a light unit) you will produce as the more blue you go.

4300k has the best lumens at around 3200lumens.

Stock halogen bulbs put out like 1000lumens.

as you go higher in kelvin scale, your lumens decreases. 6000k will become 2900lumens, and 8000k becomes 2200lumens. I dont even know what 10000k is..
