Gauge Cluster Not The Same

I bought a gauge cluster off of eBay for my 1992 hatchback DX. The needles on my gauge cluster broke I put the white faceplates on. The speedometer/odometer have been working, just not the hot/cold and fuel meters. So, I bought one that was from a 1993 HB off of eBay, and it the back, it's missing a port where I need to plug a harness in. My current cluster doesn't have a tach on it, and neither does the new one, they look EXACTLY the same. I tried plugging it in using the 3 ports that are on there, and now the hot/cold & fuel meters work, but not the speedometer/odometer. Anyone know why this cluster has this port missing? Or if there is a way to make it work?

yes, i am sure. the problem is there are 4 wired harnesses to plug in and only 3 spots to put them. see image below:
where the arrow is pointing to, on my other cluster, there is another place to plug in the 4th wire harness. there is nothing under the green plastic cover.

the plug that goes in taht spot is for cruise control i think. don't quote me on that, but i got my cluster from an EX, and it had a green plug there, and mine didn't. but mine works fine.
it sounds like the speedo cluster in your's is just broken

ok here's what you're gonna want to do, it just sounds like the speedo in that cluster is fucked.
you will need a few flat head screw drivers and a phillips.
1) push down and out on the three tabs on the top
do the same for the bottom
2) when you have those out, remove the three screw directly behind the speedo gauge that you can see in this picture of yours.
then do the same with your other cluster, and swap them. install and everything should work fine.

i guess i could give it a try, while it's out, i'll take a picture of the 4 wire harnesses and that extra port on the back of the other one, that way you guys can see that i'm really not that stupid. thanks for your help, i appreciate it.

is/was your car an automatic? if you have a green plug on your harness that could be what it was from as well

glad it worked, always a nice feeling when you fix things with your own hands
