ok 2 days ago i was at work and used my car to go get some parts. came back and it was all good. then about 10 min later i went to get some food and as soon as my car turned on the cluster gages stoped working, and my clock. raidio and stuff worked. tryed my blinkers and nothing. hazerds worked. the back light on the cluster workers and the battery light will light then shut off like normal,. but the engine light and normall start lights dont shine on. brake light and stuff worked but no reverse lights.
thats what my proablem is. sofar i have checked all fuses, plugs and everything. all was good. what should i check next.. thanks guys...

dont know if you may have done something behind the cluster lately but maybe the ground in the back of the cluster or id pull the cluster and see whats up there....see how the back panel is maybe something just went on the cluster id see if you cant switch it out and see this is rather funky to be completely honest because i dont think its a fuse....if switching to a different cluster dosent work then its gotta be something with the wiring harness.....or something more maybe....

well thats what i was thinking . i pulled the cluster just like 10 min ago and it was all pluged in and look fine. it has to be like a wire but i have not modded anything under the dash. i have the wire tuck but i dont think its from what i did. i only cut a few wires and nothing involving the cluster. cause it just stoped. has to be somthing with a reverse lights. causer they dont come on either. omg wtf im stressing and it like fucking 100deg. out side and im in the sun. guess its time for c4.

lol well try another cluster quick if you can grab one besides that ummm the only thing i can suggest is trace your wires.....it could be that something is loose in the fuse box or maybe a bad fuse box im just not sure.....id say trace the wires on the cluster harness to make sure the wires are fine all teh way down to the fuse box.....and maybe see if you can run a wire all the way to the engine harnesses reverse light switch on the trans to teh back lights and see if thats good.....its gotta be wiring maybe something went ari....
how was that ground in the back right behind the cluster

well it was all cool. i even pulled the whole block out and its a normal. but i notice these 2 round cyclinder looking things. one is at top of the clutch pedal and the other was just hanging. it looks to me like it broke of somewere but im unsure. it has a nut with threads on it to atatch to somthing..l

thats just your clutch safety switch i mean it couldve shorted something out but i doubt it its just there for you to make sure you push in the clutch pedal before you start it it works for me half the time others i dont need to step on it for it to work....but yea this ones a toughy i cant think of much that would cause that and so sudden as well....

So were are all. The wireing nuts? I really need some advice. Like I said I can't find any visual proablems. But I was just looking and noticed another odd thing. When u turn the key to first spot u get the normal ding ding saying ur keys are in the ignition. But if I turn it to the second position normally u would get about 3 long dings then it would stop. It acts as if it has no change with the 2 positions. It still runs fine. But I found out my damn thermostat might be stuck or the gasket has a hole. I had it running last night for like 10min and noticed ther was a puddle under the motor close under the thermostat. So that's an easy fix. But I still can't find the proablem. I did a little resurch and came across some ppl with the same proablem. Just no answers to fix it besides - check fuse, swap cluster, or mabey the wires. But not one of thes has fixed it. I think its a wire but I am so not sure what one would cause this. Uggggggggggggg. Never had a proablem I could not fix till now. Why o why is my baby messin wit my head.

so if the wire harness for the cluster , clock and other things nd its not fuses and if your cluster worked after you unpluged your clock and hazard switch sorta i may go ahead and try another hazard switch as far as i knew the blinkers wont work with the hazard switch but i mean its worth a try and maybe try and run without the clock? see what happens it could be the clock or the hazard...but this is interesting
also the chime thing for the seatbelt is right on the second turn of the switch mine only chimes 3 times as well and then its like i guess your going to start me anyhow so ill shut up.....
but yea i know theres grounds that come loose behind the dash on the steering column bracket theres a 10mm with a tab fro your harness ground i do wonder if it could be something to do with the fuse box itself but i do not know ......but id check the switchs since they are cheap enough and see what happens then ill try me best to help
