I did it the first time and got a quick 1 for a new o2 sensor, now I replaced that and now when I try it the light just stays off until I take the wire out that diagnosed the light. Does that mean I need a new ECU?

Well no light means nothing is wrong..........did you reset your ecu? if you replaced teh O2 and didnt reset the ecu it will still show a check engine light but wont have a code for you...

How do you reset the ECU? The car still runs bad and the check engine light goes on after a while of driving but when I try to test it the light goes off but then the light will come back on as soon as I take the wires out to diagnose. My battery drains for some reason so I unplug my positive battery side whenever I let the car sit.
