no power to fuel pump or main relay

hey guys i just got done doing a wire tuck on my 93 hatch. and i ran into a problem when i went to start it i have no power to the fuel pump.
I tried different main relays but still nothing. i also used a jumper wire on terminals 5 and 7 of the connector for the main relay like it said todo in the haynes book.but still nothing. the fuel pump worked fine when i put the car in for winter. Also the connection at the pump are fine.
I only extended the drivers side wires that connect to the motor harness so i dont think it could be those wires.
Any help would be great thanks

it might be a power wire from either the fuse box or something to the ecu that will send the signal to the main relay to the fuel pump may also be a faulty ecu maybe but that dosent make sense to me if you have a multi meter it would help greatly in tracing your wireing if it stopped working after you did the harness tuck its most likely going to trace back to that ..... check out my engine harness diagram and check your repair manual for the wireing diagram of the main engine bay harness

thanks man i still dont know what u wire u want me to look for i know its a power but from ecu or the connector for the main relay. And i dont have a multi meter to work with. do u know if any of the wires connect to the fuse panel form the main relay?

all i can say is Fail :x could it be a ground wire on the motor or a ground for the dash and such?

might be a ground i know there is a ground for the main relay that now i remember my friend had regrounded because he also experienced this problem....but im not gonna say its that ummmm i was just saying use a multimeter set on that beep thing to tell you there is a circuit and test all wires that you extended etc....maybe there is some loose connection or something.....

okay thanks alot man i will go and try that and look for any grounds i might have taken of when to took my dash out my dash is still out of the car so i should be able to find the problem.

there is a fuel pump ground that connects to the floor/frame under the edge of the drier's seat. it's a small black wire.

thanks teal i found that about an hour ago. but still nothing i checked all the connectors all the wires seem to be in place the right way . i think it may be the ecu. i got a few po6 ecus from a junk yard so it could be no good. all the grounds are good just still no power to the pump no click to the relay or nothing the cel stays on when the key is turned all the way ahead so im thinking it could be ecu

yea thats sounding more like the ecu especially with a solid check engine light....so since you have a spare id drop one in see what happens....cant hurt nothing

ya i am hoping that is all thats wrong with it now i did wire in a Resistor Box but i dont think that would be the problem what do u guys think?

the resister box may have been wired in wrong possibly and it may have hurt the ecu? not completely sure if that could happen but id suggest going ahead and taking the box out for now seeing if everything works then switch ecus if it dosent then see do a process of elimination

well today i managed to get the pump to kick in i checked all the fuses and grounds and such i tried the jumper wire in the main relay connector again and the pump turned on :? ..... so i am thinking its something eles the relay is good im pretty sure i pluged differnt ones in but still nothing . so i might just be runing a jumper wire all year lol

found out last night i also had no fire to the dizzzy :x and still the main relay is not clicking tried to bring up so ecu codes with a jumper and they wouldent work either :x

did you check your ecu??? also how are your headlights if they are dim check your ground"pack" on either side of your fender wells one should be near the air box and the other near to the washer fill spot.....bunch of black wires going into it held in by a 10mm but that 10mm needs to be tight since its a ground.....
