Lighted power windows buttons

Hi, I have something in mind - I want to illuminate the switches on the doors, that are for the windows. I bought and installed two very small LEDs, I think 3mm?. I suited them for 12v circuit. Now the problem is from where to get power.
This is the problem I wanted to ask you about - can I use the circuit that is used to power the windows? I am planning to install the wires right before the terminal that clicks with the buttons. Will those LEDs lower the current and make it difficult for the windows to go up? Is it possible for the LED to act as a bridge and close the circuit, over ruling the buttons that are used to lower/lift the windows?

Any help and new ideas are welcome!

it depends on how much current the lights takes
i dont think the lights will draw enough power
to make ur windows go up and down slow, but if it does
just wire the lights up to somethin that has pwer when ur park lights and ur headlights are on

post some pics
this seams like a cool lil project
