#129146 on obd1 motors it's the white sensor on the back lower side of the intake manifold, driver's side. It has red and yellow wires. It reads your intake air temperature

#129273 sooo i gues i have a after market intake manifold cuz i cant find it =[

i checked online for some wiring diagrams and ii just found out that my IACV is not connected with the rite connection so i tried lookin for it but all i found was the IAT connection PURGE VALVE connection
i cut off my lock solenoid connection to make my own IACV connection and i wired the connection to a green white wire and a yellow blackwire
and my idle jumped up 1500rpm
wat happened

#129288 you cut off the harness from your purge valve to use for the IAT? Talk about a step backwards... :eh:
Why not just take your time and get the right parts and avoid hacking up your harness any more than it already is?

What kind of intake mani do you have? (post a pic)

The IAT sensor is close in location to the purge valve. Look further down toward the bottom of the IM. it's on the lower back of the cyl 1 or cyl 2 runner.

It should be white sensor and have a white plug.

#129405 So again what i did was cut the LOCK UP SOLENOID connection
and attach to the IAT and PURGE connection
THE IACV a YELLOW/BLACK WIRE and GREEN/WHITE WIRE

The IAT connection has a GREEN/WHITE
The PURGE has a YELLOW/BLACK connection

I wired the LOCK UP CONNECTION to those wires seein how they are the same color as the IACV connection
and when i did that my idle jumped 1500 RPM

???????WHERE CAN the IAT go ON MY INTAKE MANIFOLD?????????

#129409 so your intake mani does not have the mounting place for the IAT sensor on the bottom/back of the cyl #2 runner?

The easiest thing to do then is drill a hole in the rubber intake tube or CAI a couple inches before the throttle body. Then install the IAT sensor there and extend the wires to reach it.

#129423 so is what i did with connection ok

so i can drill the IAT any where on the manifold

#129430 I'm still not exactly sure what you did with the wiring, just be sure you have the right wires going to the right sensors. I read it like 5 times and I'm still not sure what you mean.

The easiest thing to do then is drill a hole in the rubber intake tube or CAI a couple inches before the throttle body. Then install the IAT sensor there and extend the wires to reach it.

Or you can take the intake manifold off and drill it where the stock location is:

Either works

#129432 so i can install the IAT in the number 2 location of my pic =]]]]
im off to AUTOZONE =]]]

#129468 we need more info on your car.
What year?
What ECU?
What Engine?
What year/engine harness?
what is the intake mani from?

Your car should not be missing the IAT :?
