#10327 alright, I've got some old plugs I'll throw in there and try.

Here's a video of what's happening:

http://www.6thgearadvertising.com/video ... 015_sm.MOV

(the light next to the CEL is the hatch open light)
you can barely hear anything over the intake hissing loud as hell.
Notice the smoke coming from the catch can breather. It's not coming from the oil cap, so I'm guessing that it must be coming from the crank case :?
Maybe just because the rings have not sealed yet?

It's hard to tell how shitty it's running from the sound of the video until I put the camera by the muffler, then you can hear how rough it is. (sounds like I should have a big ass cam lol)

in this 2nd vid taken right after the first vid, you can see the battery light begin to flicker. I think it was because it was close to stalling (the tach read 0 rpm) so I gave it a little gas to 800 RPM and it stalled and would not restart. Then If I let it sit and cleaned the soot off the plugs, it will start again and repeat the process.

#10337 Have you checked the timing??

#10354 I thought about that too, it was perfect when it was running the other day, and the tensioner was tight, so I don't think it could have jumped a tooth... But I'll double check that as well :thumb:

I also have a spare o2 sensor somewhere that I'll try

I'm gong to narrow it down eventually lol

#10409 Ok, this is really making me lose hope.
I checked the timing, it is good.
I replaced the Distributor with a different one and bypassed the external coil, no difference.
I replaced the plugs, no difference.
I tried different plug wires, no difference.
I checked the ECU and the second to last digit in the top row on the sticker IS a 5. So it is an auto ecu, explains the code 19 trans lock valve. But that shouldn't make any difference... it ran fine with that ecu before.
Already:
Battery has been replaced with a full size one, grounds have been cleaned and checked, fuel pressure is good 42psi...

Earlier this week when I got the engine to start for the first time, it was rough for the first couple mins, then smoothed out @ 1500 rpm and stayed there untill the battery died. Ever since then it has been running like shit. :x

WTF :?
I don't have any more ideas???

#10411 ummm... just out of the blue but try an actual manual p28 ecu and double check the fuel pressure if its supposed to be 42 psi... just some ideas.. :?

yeah it was just a random thought... it may be a possibility that an auto tranny may run differently then an auto... it may.... :?

#10428 well I converted my P28 to manual. It was a lot easier than I thought. The CEL is gone now, but the motor is still barely running the exact same.
Baby steps...

#10429 to turn down your throttle body there is a screw on top of your throttle body
see the red circle left to open right to close takes a flat head screw driver

Good guess but I'm Sure those are in the right place.

Whatever the issue is doesn't cause a CEL :?
That is making it hard to figure out :x
