- Thu Jan 22, 2009 5:33 am #91388 i installed a new cluster into my eg tonight. i have a 92 cx and the original cluster was without a tach and only had a shift light. so i bought one on craigslist that had a tach and amber colored lights. when i went to go test drive it once installed, i noticed that every now and then the cruise control light would flash on. my cx does not have cruise. i did notice though that it seemed that it may be in sync with when the shift light would have normally come on before with the old cluster and now, the shift light is not working. has anyone ever seen or heard of these lights being crossed between different clusters? any solutions?

- Thu Jan 22, 2009 8:25 pm #91524 btw, after driving my car some more today, i am very sure that it is my shift light that is lighting up the cruise control display. can i rewire this behind the cluster to correct the problem? or will this be something that should be done with the ECU?

- Fri Jan 23, 2009 12:48 am #91705 i think the shift like is only for clusters with no tack so you know when to shift. i would just pull the bulb out and call it a day.
