- Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:03 am #58940 Replaced Engine w/ JDM d15b non vtec out of 1998. running it as obd1. Had it running drove 50 miles hit a speed bump and it shut off. Will not restart. Its getting Gas has No Spark. Engine Light goes out after 5 seconds. Starter is engaging. Using a Rywire Distributor Conversion Harness. Wondering if anyone has had this same issue. Also any help at figuring out the possible issue.

Wallace Automotive checked the main relay, tried even a new distributor but no luck at all.


Tried replacing distributor. No Luck.
Debating if it is a shorted wire in the harness or if its a bad ECM.
Could it be an issue in the Ignition Switch or just wiring.

- Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:10 am #58942 sounds like a short to me since it started when you hit a bump. hopefully only a fuse blew and nothing got cooked.

- Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:35 am #58950 its not a fuse forgot to mention that. What could possibly be cooked that would cause this. Up for anything not trying to send mine to the boneyard anytime soon. Still love my EJ2 no matter how big of a pain in the ass its being
