rear fog light swtich pinout

2 Black GND for the Backlight(logo ilumination)
3 Red/Black VCC for backlight, turns on when side lights go on
4 Red/Yellow VCC for the Enabled Light
5 Red/(White) VCC from Dipped beam(ie goes high when dipped beams are on)

This is what I am thinking..

Pin 1 and 2 will be grounds.

I think you can run pin 3, 5 to side lights.

pin 4 goes to the relay coil in to switch on the light.


This is what I'm thinking how it will work with side lights only. Does this make sound like it will work?

- Wed Apr 30, 2008 10:29 pm #53291 Yeh sounds like it will work to me as I guess you can just hook pin 5 up to what ever you want to allow the fogs to go on, just over here you can't turn the fog lights on until you are on dipped position 2.

AHH that would be the reason why there are 5 wires...vs 4 only like the front foglights.. Thanks alot! You've been a great help.

just did the switch and now I got a hybrid USDM/UKDM foglight where it uses the USDM front tailight with diffuser and 1156 bulb but the brighter filament is now connected to the foglight switch.


now onwards to my hid harness..
