#26723 Ok so here is the story of my haunted Civic blinker lights. Lol.

So one night I am driving and I notice that when I turn on my blinker all of my dash lights including my speedometer and ac panel blink extremely brightly for a split second. Almost as if it had a surge of power and then they return to normal. So at first I ignored the problem because I had no money so I just had to bear with it. Well A few weeks go by and I am once again driving at night and I notice that something seems amiss. Well I look around the cabin and I notice it seems dark..... My ac panel no longer lights up!! :o

So I figure that the bulbs were burning out from the short and I decide to just buy a whole new panel anyway because mine was not in such good condition. Well I get my new one in, and I replaced it with new bulbs and I plug it in and no lights! :x So Now the lights come on occasionally and I still have the blinker surging my speedo lights.

Does anyone have any idea what i can do to solve this problem? It is so freaking annoying.

Thanks in advance

#26801 Yeah I checked all of my fuses and my grounds seem to be fine. I am at a loss, electrical problems always seem to be hard to figure out. :(

#26807 did you check your blinker fluid?

LOl j/k in all seriousness though it does sound like a short somewhere down the line... one of the worst things to figure out is electrical :x

#26808 if there is a short, how do I fix that? I mean can a wire just go bad? and so strange it is only with my blinker, I am thinking perhaps it pinched a wire or something somewhere from the movement? Just thinking out loud. :?

#26809 yeah pinching a wire can do that, have you worked on anything recently before this started happening? more so anything electrical, or near wires?
