- Mon Mar 30, 2009 2:21 am #106588 I have shaved door handles and my door doesnt want to release for it to open it doesnt evne make the popping sound like it is working. I know a lot of you guys dont have shaved door handles but if you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

I have replaced the battery in my remote, so I dont know...

Does the spring in the door jamb appear to be working?

Take off your interior door cover and find the actuator. There are two wires going to it. To test the actuator you can put power to one wire, negative to the other (as in the posts on your battery or even a cordless drill battery). Reversing the polarity of those two wires will cause the motor to move in the opposite direction.

The actuator may have become disconnected from the bar that's connected to your door latch. Or it may not be receiving power from your keyless entry system.

If you can post some pics of your actuator and the door spring that would help.
