These are trailer fenders, being used for the wheel wells. We bought more
than necessary in case we make a mistake!

As you can see there isn't much wheel well left..

Cancer gone

No turning back now..

The first picture is made up of three pieces, here is one.

This is the second;

Comparison

checking fitment

Final

Then welding prep.

more prep

looks pretty good?

Cut it out!

New piece

In!

Tacktacktacktack

AND PART OF THE NEW WHEEL WELL

And the new floor!

Because the gas cap insides were rotted we had to switch sides
and wait on a way to fix that..so passenger side how-to

and then thisss

BAD

GOOD

compare

rusty section

fixed

Fitment

welded

Done.

SOON.

Sandblasted

New floor!

Did I mention it was chipped?

It grew..

Motor had a blown headgasket so ...
Yonaka full gasket kit

removing pieces

Milky...

Taken apart

SoooOOooOOOOo much carbon

Crank

Removed pistons. PR3 not P30 not JDM

The head was warped which is why the head gasket blew,
so we got it machined.
:thumb:

Currently sourcing some piston rings to be reassembled and checked for emissions. Leak down test, compression test, and everything in between.

Body work is coming ahead!

Here is a brief history of where this all came from, I started thread back in July of 2012 on the Honda-tech forum, but due to it's poor reputation I decided to give this one a shot due to it being more specified to my vehicle.

Now here is the car; a 1993 Honda Civic Si 5 Speed with a D16Z6 purchased from an elderly lady who was the original owner from the day it roller off the dealer ship, which was key for me. This means she had Honda complete all the work needed on the car which is :thumb: in my books. My parents paid 800.00 for it power sunroof, adjusting mirrors, and all that good ish. However it had 449'000km on the body and was completely rotted out however this was my birthday present for my parents so I was stoked. Which is why this is a restoration thread. So here she is;

Now the only reason I want to do so much body work to this car is because in Canada these cars are becoming MIA due to rust, and accidents. And it's an Si so how can you go wrong?

And then I eventually wanted to do a motor swap, so my dad had a friend who crashed his riced out civic that had exactly what I wanted plus some other goodies.

1992 Honda CX came with the following goodies;
88-91 CRX SiR USDM B16A
94-01 GSR Transmission Rebuilt
New shiftlinakges
Short Shifter with momo knob
GSR dash (GARBAGGEEEE)
Lowering springs on OEM struts
DA rear disc conversion
Denji Glass Halojen headlights Angel eyes
New OEM bumper
New oem passenger fender
17" Voxx wheels
80% Falken Ziex 205/40/R17
Ebay short ram
New interstate battery

I'll post more below, I apologize if this is too large for a first post!
