I have been working on a new race motor for a lower class, I contracted a friend to build the motor and have it machined. I didnt skimp on barely anything with the new D series race motor.

I also tapped the block so I have an oil psi reading at the oil sandwich and the block because Im anal and wanted to see both readings to make the best decision on oil weights. I also have the warning light inline with the block psi triggering at 20 psi.
The oil cooler setup will change your psi plus or minus depending on the lines size, so its not something to just throw in there and not monitor.
I ended up sticking with a 10-30 synthetic Amsoil Dominator race oil after testing some different Mobil 1 weights. The psi is about 90 at WOT in the 7500-8k range which is satisfactory for me.
