#54948 hi, i was thinking about bying the Energy Shifter Bushing kit , HERE: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 41326&rd=1

but wanted to know if someone has a LINK to a diy or any advice on doing it, and if it will help with when in neutro the shifter going to the left 1 and 2 is loose but from neutrol to 5 R its harder because 1 and 2 are the most used wondering if this will bring the slak out, any was will they help anybody have a diy or write up about them ?? and motor ount bushings ?? thanks

#54954 Ill be doing mine this weeked. That and many others (master kit :D )
So either you can wait for the DIY or just go for it, but I would get the black ones. They are graphite impregnated and are supposed to be better. But if you have to have red... :?

I have that same loose feeling in 1-2 and is hard in 5-R.

As for the motor mount "bushings". Be prepared for some work any of the ways
You can follow teal and make a solid mount

Replace the whole mount like ME

If you really want to replace just the rubber and not the mount you will need to remove the mounts and burn, cut them out. Then press them in. For the other bushings i have replaced i used a vice and flat tip screwdrivers to pop them in. These shouldnt be that different.

Burning bushings out is straight forward but

#54957 the black ones are less prone to squeaking when it comes to suspension bushings.

wish I knew this 6 years ago when I installed the red master kit... my car squeals like a hoopty sometimes lol

#54968 Its telling you drive me MORE :x

When you get the kit, it may or may not have the lube. Dont be afraid to use it. It makes it so much easier when pressing them in yourself...

Teal you did the master kit. How do the shifter bushings affect the actualy feel?

#55125 making a solid mount like teal did will make the car rattle (The vibrations are directly transferred from motor to car) but all the power will go straight to the wheels.

There are tons of ways you can do mounts. I got mine off of ebay ( they used the oem brackets but added more+ harder rubber)but there is still space for the mounts to move, so the ride isnt so harsh. There isstill a decent about of vibration in the car and im sure it will be a whole lot more after this weekend. :woot:

Who has those aftermarket PU motormounts? Thats about the only thing we dont have opinions on :x

KRYSTED9354 wrote:so if my mount are bad i can replace the rubber right ?

here look what i mean is this right or no ?

Yep you can do that. Just know they they are inserts. I was thinking of something different. If your going this route you still need the old mount rubber in there. No burning needed. I thought you were replacing, not just adding =]

Just so you know, they way they did that wont turn out like the picture at the top right of the link. Those are whole replacements

Just remember the more solid the mount the more vibration you will feel

#55144 ah i might just fill them up a littel bit thats it, so the inserts will make it what ?
