Starting too run into some more snags, long story short the crank pulley hits the frame, so now I have to drop it back down and smash the crap outta the frame (not much really).

Ive got the timing set and head back on, still have a good size list but should be able too get most if not everything knocked out in the next few days!

nothing a BFH cant handle

#329359 Yeah might have too pick up another good one, Ill probably pick up a toch as well too make things easier.

Also I noticed that I cannot go into 3rd and 4th while just messing around with the shifter. 1st, 2nd 5th and rev all work just fine, Ive heard sometimes with a new trans it has too have fluid and be started so you can go in all gears if you cannot while its off. I hope thats the case if not I think 3rd and 4th are enguaged at the sametime and will have too drop it AGAIN

#329964 Coming together...
Image

Traded my black painted hx's for some polished Gsr Fat Fives

Took it easy today, just installed new sway bar links, reassembled the suspension, did some more "modifications", ran the engine bay harness and rechecked to make sure all the bolts were tight and were not missing.

Whats left is shift linkage (again), starter, add oil and coolant and some other small stuff. COULD have it ready by honda day but it wouldnt be tuned and dont want too take it on a long trip just after getting it done. Stay tuned! :)

Thanks and no. Although this is a f22 the f23 is exactly the same only difference is bore size, I just had a spare valvecover to put on the head while I'm getting the f22 one stripped and painted

#331007 Did some cleaning up inside (just discarded parts and boxes/packaging). Painted glove box only too find out that the 95 glove boxes are different from the 92-94 ones......

Looked over some stuff in the bay and got it ready for startup, installed wastegate...hood wont close now :x. Gonna have too cut the underhood webbing where its hitting and hope that its enough too clear, if not the hood is already fked up so if i have too cut a square section out for the wastegate i will.

#332084 Ok update time.
The bad news:
Cut the webbing in some areas for clearance (map sensor was hitting), so far I had to redo the whole intercooler pipe routing after getting the intake mani setup and me being forced to go back too the treadstone log mani . The second downpipe I bought will not fit, so I have to fab something up for that...

The good news:
Car starts up fine with previous map :)

The worst news:
I may have mentioned before that I could not go into 3rd or 4th after getting the transmission done. I was hoping that it was because low fluid, never been started or something stupid like that even tho I could go into 1st 2nd 5th and rev just fine. After getting it started and checking levels, I could not get it into those gears even while running, so I prayed that maybe I had bent linkage (as this was some peoples problem as well) and went ahead and got brand new Hasport linkage (gonna see why this part is in the worst news). After getting the new linkage in.......same thing, locked out :x :x :x :x :x :x :x. So after all that, I gotta take the transmission out again which means having to undo most of the kit.....

#333438 Ok So here it is......Project f2b.....Canceled

Ran into a bunch of complications (both chassis and engine related) so I decided to just stop. The amount of work that would need to be done in order to make it worth it is not worth it at the moment. Now this does not mean I have fully given up, I have opted to go b series and just put this engine off to the side and return to it in the future.

Picked up another sedan shell and I will be swapping most of the suspension parts over etc. while building the engine. I will still keep this thread open for those can see the issues I have went through as well as updates to the new project.

Thanks everyone for the support!

#333522 If you can wait another year or two you can see that build finished!

Believe me I really want to finish this but swapping this into another shell and it all being stock (except turbo) is not worth it to me at this time. If the engine was built I would go ahead and make it work in the new chassis but it's not.

For now it's going to sit on the back burner and my new build will be a dedication build for my best friend I lost earlier this year.

Thanks again for staying interested and I'm aiming to be ready to roll by october this year! (maybe sooner!)
