- Thu Oct 06, 2011 9:14 pm #276545 Love the blue, and I like the way it's coming along. I've always been a fan of the EP3. I owned an 05 EP3 hatch for a year until a Tahoe took her away from me by caving the side in.

You will LOVE a short throw shifter in there. I had a neuspeed installed with a hurst pistol grip and it was a hell of a difference.

Want some ideas? i'll show you mine... you CAN fit 17x8 and 225-50r17 tires lowered. Just gotta roll them fenders.

Suspension: replace worn parts and purchase and install a koni sport kit, and new sway bars.

Replace clutch and flywheel, add 6th gear and rebuild trans.

remove motor and replace any thing worn i can.

- Mon Feb 20, 2012 4:58 am #295550 well as promised here is an update. i've had the car on jack stands now since november. And until a week ago really havent done much other than look it all over. Then i finally got the drivers rear caliper changed. then i took the bumpers off and checked out the whole chassis. I've got some corrosion underneath to clean up so i'll be wire wheeling it then hitting it with primer then rubber undercoating the entire chassis. Then there is this







I'm getting ready to pull the motor and trans. And i've been hunting down a swap. Ive got a lead on a decent k24a2 without trans for 1400$, which would require k pro, but when paired with my 5spd trans would launch like an raped ape. If all goes well i'll be looking at the motor this coming weekend. I also wouldnt mind a k20a2 but idk if i can find one. Well thats all for now, i'll update once i buy the hoist and get this bitch pulled.

Has an adapter plate so k20 intake manifolds can be used. Motors pretty clean and i'm stoked to get wrenching

Oh and got new box's for my tools, and custom fit foam pieces from work.

yea we have pcb's and flexi circuits that get shipped to us in these, they just get thrown out so i saved a bunch.

Still garaged! And a bit more apart haha. Ive been busy racing rc cars and raising my daughter. With the amount of money i put into rc stuff i could of finished the car twice
