#324920 Brake conversion finished! Unfortunately I had too settle for a 3040 prop valve because a 4040 was just too damn hard too find around my way :(

#325005 Next is power steering delete (on rack) since I cant use it anyway and I'm not putting in a manual one.

Also after driving a 400whp car over 120mph that still has p/s, its almost non existent vs one with manual steering....

#325076 Finally started to get the motor ready for conversion, started to grind down the block to clear the midshaft. Gonna clean the outside and paint block a solid grey (i know boring), my sychros SHOULD be here sometime either tomorrow or tuesday, when they come in ill be getting the trans rebuilt.

Depending on how much I can get done in the next two days I MIGHT (lofty goal) be able have the block and trans mounted in the car, after that the head will be sent off to get some mild work done. Will I have it ready by the end of march? who knows, stay tuned!

Side note: QSD's instructions are laughably horrible, the pictures are way too small and could the whole guide could re use a redoing. I'm still working on my abs guide, but I really want too do a QSD h2b guide as well.

#325215 Bank froze my funds so I cant get that just yet. Correct me if I'm wrong but a 3040 just means that brake pressure is more in the rear than front?

its cool :thumb: I've never seen that prop valve before :?
I know 3030 is more pressure in front and 4040 throws more to the rear

#325218 From what I was reading/told. 3030 is for a setup with rear drums which would lock up the rears on a setup that had rear disk. 4040 was the choice for those removing abs or converting to rear disk. I pulled this 3040 (which I didnt know at the time) from a 92 si hatchback with rear disk.

#329294 Thanks!

Starting too run into some more snags, long story short the crank pulley hits the frame, so now I have to drop it back down and smash the crap outta the frame (not much really).

Ive got the timing set and head back on, still have a good size list but should be able too get most if not everything knocked out in the next few days!
