new motor has been sourced. wont have any updates on it right away, but soon.

motor is on its way. no spoilers though.
just got some goodies from the ups man.
new prelude clutch slave cylinder, avid racing steel mounts, bolt boys motor mount hardware kit, and a brand new 15/16ths brake master cylinder from a 91 civic ex.
by the end of the week she'll be resurrected and better than ever!

so. motor arrived today. i have pictures.

before the unwrapped pics, i first need to confess. i went to the dark side, and strayed from the path of the sohc.

but this isn't a b series, its a dohc zc.

i know a lot of people don't like em, but i do. this fine specimen is an obd1 version, and my transmission bolts right on so i don't need to do any extra stuff to get it in and running.

yes, the I'm not using the garage. why? cause this isn't my house. its my parents and I'm not allowed to lol. using their driveway beats using the road in front of my apartment
the damage

took the opportunity to clean up the bay a little bit, here's a before pic. after pic when I'm done

pretty good exhaust leak. and the gasket is kinda missing.


scraped the shit outta the y7 oilpan

Its gonna be supercharged.
I was able to trade my sohc jrsc for a dohc zc jrsc plus 300$!

Got the zc in the bay. Going to a show tonight, I'll finish up and post pics tomorrow!

yeah i guess it was really rare and the guy bought it thinking it would fit a single cam.
worked out for me!

just finished my last parts store run. broke my starter taking it out, the plastic where the battery connects just gave up on life as soon as i touched it with a wrench.
got fresh cv axles and fluids too.
just gotta connect my shifter, header, pop the axles in, change the fluids, and then start her up!
stoked!

motor is nearly done. had a brain fart and broke my valvecover ground.
just need to replace that and add trans fluid.
hopefully ill have startup vid and pics tomorrow night or monday morning.
