Civic EG

I would like too know why my friend told me that I shouldn't fix up my civic ej1 by putting a wing or rims or doing anything too the exterior since it's an automatic?
What exactly does he mean? Help please

He's apparently under the misconception that autos aren't worth fixing up.
Although a manual is, from experience, a bit funner to drive there is absolutely nothing wrong with fixing up an auto, down the road a ways you could even do an auto to manual swap if you want to, I believe there's a thread in the DIY section about how to do it.
Tell you're buddy to go fly a kite and do what you want to your car, when he asks you for ride you can just tell him "no, it's an auto".
I might want to stay away from anything gaudy like a big wing or bling rims but that's me, it your car so do as you like.

Yeah I think it doesn't matter if it's auto or not what matters is the fun you have fixing it. I wanted to put a carbon fiber wing on the back window? Idk if you get what I'm saying? Lmao oh I will tell him that

my cars an auto aswell, i love auto's id admit! lol they are verrry handy in stop-and-go traffic

I wouldnt do a wing, but thats me. I'm quilty of lowering an auto Integra and putting some wheels on it...

I think your referring to the rear window visor IMO would look dope but haven't seen any yet
and it's your car you can do whatever you like to it. I have a Eg sedan automatic and loved it because of all the driving I do but now I'm in the process of converting from auto to manual just to have more fun with it

Autos are perfect for Daily Driving status. Thats why my Daily Driver '04 WRX Wagon is an Automatic.

With the high theft rate for EG's. Especially the nice ones. Building up an automatic makes more sense as if anyone looks inside they will see an automatic and not to want to bother with it as much.

What you do to your car to make it nicer and better towards you is all you should car about. Its not a bad idea to think what your doing will effect its resell value if you ever move on.

First mods I would ever recommend to anyone would be lowering your car, if you dont want it that low get eibach lowering springs. Why? Because it does more then make your car look good. It makes it drive so much better. One of the favorite mods I did to my old DD EG Sedan.

After that I would recommend minor mods such as intake pipe, intake manifold, exhaust manifold and exhaust upgrades. they will make even a D Series Automatic come alive.

that made me . easy mistake to make tho tbh. the only way u will find drama on this site is if you go looking for it. for what ive seen every one from noobs to admin/mods get treated with respect just the way it should be

As am I, you can do stuff to an auto, simple things to make it look clean like springs and shocks, and wheels, etc. I have had many auto's and manual Honda's , and currently have and 4 dr civic auto and a 4 dr teg auto that are great for driving back and forth in. In addition to my two EJ coupes that are both manuals.
