still a long way from either one.

im planning to go boost, but i counted things over and it just seems a little too much for me. A B wont be much cheaper either.

cast your vote, and tell my why.

thanks :thumb:

the turbo D will be more fun, but the b16 will be more reliable....

ive seen stock b16a blow up from overrevving. :P

I maybe bias, but i have a turbo D :)

228whp on a stock motor running 10psi. Only thing I swapped in was a better headgasket and ARP headstuds. Besides that the car was as reliable as any other B series. :P

Now i make 250whp daily driven built D series. reliable and wayyyy more fun than a stock 140whp b16a :P

if you buy used, the turbo kit will be cheaper than a b16a obd1.

I spent around 2500 buying alot of new stuff which is about the same as a b16a. Ive seen others run as cheap as 1000 bucks to get a turbo kit up and running.

a good tune of fuelmanagment system and the condition of your motor will state how reliable it is. Alot of honda motors are no longer reliable due to improper maintenance.

change the B16 to a B18 and then i will say yes... but if for a B16...it's a tough call... the Boosted D will have more torque then the B16... i am not gona vote cause i wouldn't be a good help

thanks for the comments guys, looks like its a landslide win for the turbo D :thumb:

u guys gotta understand, especially those stateside...stuff here in malaysia costs a lot in local money.

for example:
hondata S300, about 600USD?
in local money, its retailing for almost 3000 ringgit. :(

i definitely wanna go turbo (i already got a HF mani and a TD04 1G), i like torque, itll just take a lot longer than i hoped.

i just need to save up the cash and get all the other parts, as well as rebuild the engine.

god, please elt there be a big bonus this year.
