Hello everyone! New here

Postby k20a_da » Sun Feb 03, 2008 7:48 pm

Even though I don't have an eg, I joined this site because I know this sites admin. Brian is a good guy :thumb: . Plus my one buddy just got a 93 si hatch and he currently doesn't have the internet. So I am just trying to help him out.

I've been around honda's/acura's for about 10 years now. I have a decent amount of knowledge on them. So hopefully I can help some members here.

I currently have 3 cars as of right now. I own a 1993 rhd integra with a swapped k20a2. Its nice to be behind a k-series :woot: . Then I have 2 cb7's (90-93 accord).

About to trade one of my accords (shown below) for a 1997 civic lx.

Just want a more reliable dd because my current dd is a 1991 accord with 219k and its starting to become a pain in the ass to keep up with everything on the car.

Just thought I would give everyone some info on myself even though I don't have an eg.

Hey Doug- welcome to the site!

For those who don't know - he has the sickest DA Teg I've ever seen:

Thanks guys! :thumb:

I have more pictures of my da in the garage.

Here are somethings that I just received for the da:
-jdm passengers side kick panel with the holder for a flare (just need to get a jdm flare now),
-some jdm power folding mirrors (just need painted)
-some dc5 side skirts that are modded for a da (just needs to be painted)

Having one of my buddies brothers make me a traction bar and I want to get the da tuned sometime before summer.

That DA is the hotness. It would be even hotter if it was an EG. (seriosly though)

Thanks man!

Thats actually a volt meter. Its wasn't hooked up when I got it, but thats on my list to do.

Brian, I dunno where I'll be going to get her tuned. Just been looking around. Where are you going to get your hatch tuned? What program are you gonna be using to tune it?

Well, people tell me there's a guy named Blunder (sp?) in Cinci that is the best around. That's a haul to trailer a car though. I'm thinking Slow Motion Motorsports in Columbus is the furthest I want to go. I have Crome and there's a couple people in Cleveland that are good with Crome. There's a dyno shop in Medina that Leidy's bro Mike works at sometimes, Backstreet Performance. So I might pay a good tuner to meet me there, not sure on a plan yet, I still have some searching to do. What are you running?

I am using Hondata's K-Pro. Most certified K-Pro shops are charging around $600 for just one calibration. But I don't have anything done internally as of yet. I might just wait til I do some internal mods til I go to a certified K-Pro shop.

Does Mikey get a discount at all? Do you know anyone that is good at tuning in crome and k-pro? If so, I'll go in with ya. :woot:

I've heard a mix of things about Slow Motions. I've heard that they've messed up some cars, but on the other hand, I've heard that they've done some good work.

Keep me posted if you find out about anything! :thumb:

I'll keep looking around to find out if there are any good tuners around my area/cleveland area. If I find out anything, I'll hit ya up.
