tow hook painting

Im getting 1 of those "jdm" tow hooks today from my friend and its blue... wats the best way to paint that red? Lol... just scuff it with sand paper, primer, and paint it?

Yep :thumb: be sure to use a wax and grease remover before priming and painting so they will adhere better to the surface .

Maybe use engine enamel as well, it's bit tougher than other rattle can paint.
Having a sweet mustache is half the battle.

THere's a product called Dupli-Color Metalcast that has a silver basecoat and then a transparent 'candy' looking enamel color that goes on top of it. It ends up looking like a nice powdercoat candy finish vs a regular solid color.

Turns out it was black not blue like i thought... i can deal with that... lol... but ill def look at the metalcast paint... looks pretty sick! :D
