i dropped mine like 3 inches and i just go slow over bumps and im fine..
if your really that parodied about bumps dont drop your car any lower then 2.5...2'' to be super safe,
stay away from low profile tires too.

Well 2-2.5" is a decent amount of drop, but you can always go to 3" as long as you go sideways on bumps/ramps/etc. And if you have a lip, I don't suggest the 3" drop.

i dropped mine about 2.5 in with the skunk2 springs and it doesnt have any problems with the speed bumps at a normal speed. If I go too fast at a dip my bumper will scrape but not all that bad.

If you want to keep it relatively close to the stock ride height, the Neuspeed Sofsport's drop the car about 1.5" once settled.

Another decently cheap spring is Vogtland. They lowered my civic 1.4... very very comfortable and lowered it decent..... I have absolute no problem with speed bumps.... even going fast haha.... I want my civic lower now though... SKUNK2! hehe

I'm using ITR Shocks with HKS springs not got much of a drop at all if any but the ride is alot firmer than standard shocks and springs.
