Been lowering my car got all springs on now except rear right one.

As I was undoing the LCA bolt it snapped the end off and now im left with the main chunk still in there.

How do i get it out Ive tried tapping it the opposite way but the threads stop it would it be possible to drill it out ????

quick replies much appreciated guys ;)

Can you take a pic of it so I can see which one it is. I've broken a few but there are different ways to get each one out.

Chop the captive nut off the shock with an angle grinder, hammer out the remains of the bolt, then fit your new springs and your new bolt and use a regular nut in place of the captive nut

Its the middle bolt that hols the bottom of the rear shock onto the Lca.

The one being pointed at with the left arrow.

yeah same here.. either that or just take the control arm off while its attached to the strut.. and put it in some kind of drill press. that is what i had to do for the rear driver's side on my car.

I was able to get a big breaker bar on the captive nut and break it off its only tack welded on.

OP I had to get new LCAs. I picked up a set from jdmcarboy.com for like 100 bucks. They were megan racing but there really nice pieces. I also got 2 new lower shock mount bolts from honda and if I remember correctly they were about 10-15 dollars a piece. Save the captive nut if your not replacing the shocks.

Had to do this on both sides on my Coupe as the JDM LCA's I used had some fooked sir shocks on them when I got hold of them.
