#23105 Hey, Whats everyones opinions on a good Suspension set up to use? Currently my civic is on King Spring Superlows. But i want it to sit lower as it doesnt sit that low at all. What would be my best bet, Adjustables or coilovers? If so, What brands? Thanks :P

#23107 the first question to mind is... what is the purpose of the car.

do you want low ride but stock quality ride?

or do you want a less comfortable but better handling ride?

Handling, Comfort are two things you must compromise.

If you are aiming for height, coilovers are the best bet to get the height YOU want. Springs will give you a height and you just have to settle with what it gives you.

I'm current running on

Apexi N1 99spec Coilovers

These have adjustable dampening for stiffening up the ride as well as adjustable height. I like it because I can have the stiffer ride for certain occasions but still get some decently soft setup for daily driving.

x2

im running at the moment Jamex Shocks with Jamex 60mm springs. I feel it gives me a comfortable ride (unlike coilovers) yet very responsive in the corners due to the shocks. Sits brill at the front but a wee bit to high at the rear for me but you cant have everything!!

Hope thats helpfull! :thumb:

#23190 Im on Ksport Coilovers. I love them to death! I got stiffer rates than the normal ones for civics, so you might not want what I got.

They are great daily and race set.

avoid the cheapo coilovers though.. they will drop the car...and that's about it..

#23289 Ive got D2 coilovers and cant fault them

Height adjustable (up to -120mm  ) and damping too!

Mine are set quite soft jsut now for daily driving and its not a harsh ride at all, but quickly turn the dials on top of the shocks and its rock hard!

Awesome 8)

#23783 I'm on Apex Racing full coilovers.
Like LowTEC said; "these have adjustable dampening for stiffening up the ride as well as adjustable height".

But I always have it set up as stiff as they get (if I want some comfort, I'll call a cab).

In combination with OEM EG6 swaybars front and rear, some struts, and good tyres, my car is a blast to drive around corners (and long straights, though, they are boring).

lol, straights are fun too in my car :)

but.. yea..it feels great, what I'm amazed is how soft the ride is even on max but it is still stiff for the corners.

#27365 I'm running cheapy Skunk2 Pro-S full coilovers. They are nonadjustable rebound and compression but they ride really well and handle great! For the price you can't beat them. Of course I'm sure the more you spend the better they get. I've had other suspension setups like Koni Sports and Eibach Pro-Kits, Tockico Blues and Eibach Pro-Kits, Koni Sports and Skunk2 Sleeves. The Pro-S full coilovers are the best handling/ride by far. :thumb:
