ok so i got my lowering springs and am wondering how difficult it is to remove the struts. I already have a spring compressor so i just want to know if it is difficult to remove the strut from the car.

It's simple really..

Front:
- Remove the bolt that connects the Yolk to the LCA.
- Remove the pinch bolt holding the shock to the bolt
- Remove to two bolts in the top hat in the trunk/hatch area.
- The easiest way to get the springs off of the shocks is the use an impact. If you don't have access to one, get a spring compressor or a big dumb friend to push down and take the force of the spring. (There are actually many ways to remove the spring from the shock. The Impact is the safest though.)
- Take the springs off, assemble the new stuff and reinstall.

Rear:
- Remove the LCA bolt.
- Remove to two bolts in the top hat under the hood.

- Take the springs off, assemble the new stuff and reinstall.

- Go get an alignment.

If you are the luckiest person on the planet, all of the bolts might come out for you. Don't be surprised if they don't I would make sure that you can get everything loose before you start replacing things. you may find that some of the bolts are stuck. Good luck, let us know if you need anymore help.

I'd spray down every bolt that has to come out with some PB Break loose, and let it sit for about 24hrs before you start cranking on them.

Almost every honda I've changed suspension on atleast one, if not both, of the rear LCA arm bushing bolts have been frozen. With the exception of my Civic when it was only a couple years old and had about 30K miles on it. I just buy new rear LCA arms and do them all at the same time.

I dunno if you guys have seen it yet but theres a new magazine out called Project car. The latest issue covers how to remove springs and shocks. Its a great tuner magazine for budget minded people which is great. Who the hell wants to read about a 1000hp Supra or 900hp Civic show car? This magazine has real DIY stuff, costs, and dyno numbers in every stage. Should this be in product review?
